    How To Troubleshoot and Fix Quadra Fire Pellet Stove Common Fault

    Quadra Fire pellet stove may have other problems you encounter besides not lighting, below we have listed 3 common faults and their solutions.

    When you encounter problems with your stove, you can use this article to quickly solve your problems.

    No Power To The Unit

    • Check the power cord make sure it's plugged into the power outlet on the wall.
    • Check the circuit breaker for the outlet and make sure it's not tripped.
    • Check the seven amp fuse on the junction box.
    • There are temperature sensitive safety sensors, called snap discs inside the stove, like a circuit breaker, shut off when tripped.
    • Check the number three snap disc, if the unit gets too hot, the number three snap disc will shut down power to the stove.

    Unit Will Not Feed Pellets

    • Check the call light on the stove and make sure it's on. If the call light is not on, check the thermostat and thermostat wires.
    • Check the feed adjustment plate in the hopper. If the plate is closed too far, pellets will bridge over, the fuel opening in the hopper and the feed tube will empty. To clear this condition, jab your hands several times into the hopper.
    • Check the snap disc. This disc will turn the feed motor off if the unit gets too hot.
    • Check the vent system. During the startup cycle, the exhaust blower must come on. And the vent system must be free of obstructions.
    • Check the vacuum switch, unfasten the end of the supply hose at the vacuum switch, and blow compressed air into it to clear it out.
    • Check the feed motor, if the feed motor does not turn, it's possible that the feed auger is jammed, or bad connection in the motor.

    Stove Keeps Shutting Off

    • Keep the hopper clean and free from any kind of obstructions. Dirt and debris can clog the hopper, prevent the pellet stove from functioning properly.
    • Clean The Burn Pot. Use an air compressor to clean the burn pot, and clean the pot by shaking it. 
    • Pellets won’t burn properly if the feed motor fails to supply air.  Clean The Feed Motor. Check if the wiring is okay. Sometimes it may not be possible to fix the wiring. Replace the blower in that case.
    • Clean the pellet stove properly. Clean the leftover unburnt pellets and ash to remove the air supply blockage.
    • Use high-quality pellet for burning to ensure better combustion.
